Volleyball Recap: Andrew Comes Up Short

Andrew lost against Lincoln-Way East back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Thunderbolts fell 2-0 to the Griffins. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 21, 2021, but that streak is no more.

Andrew was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-23.

Andrew dropped their record down to 12-15 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Lincoln-Way East, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season.

Andrew didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Plainfield Central on the 17th. As for Lincoln-Way East, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against St. Laurence on the 18th.
