Preview: Tucker County Mountain Lions vs. Hampshire Trojans

The Tucker County Mountain Lions will be playing at home against the Hampshire Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tucker County is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.

Last Friday, it was close, but Tucker County sidestepped Petersburg for a 30-27 victory.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tucker County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maddox Anderson, who picked up 97 receiving yards and a touchdown. Anderson was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 62 yards. Tucker County also got a significant boost from Jared Reall, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 108 yards.

Tucker County's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Owen Knotts.

Meanwhile, Hampshire fell victim to Washington's stalwart defense two weeks ago and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 38-0 defeat at the hands of the Patriots. Having soared to a lofty 76 points in the game before, Hampshire couldn't push the score so high this time.

Tucker County's win was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.6 points per game. As for Hampshire, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
