Valley View had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Poly Bears. The game was the first time the Eagles have beaten the Bears on their field since April 6, 2022.

Bella Hernandez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits.

On the hitting side, Valley View saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacqueline Divine, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Valley View pushed their record up to 14-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Poly, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-5-1.

Coming up, Valley View will venture away from home to take on Orange Vista at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Coyotes have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games. As for Poly, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Liberty at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bison have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
