Baseball Recap: Manchester Comes Up Short

Manchester lost against Glastonbury back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Red Hawks fell 7-4 to the Guardians. The Red Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Manchester saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abe Rosario, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Juelz Martir also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Manchester's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Glastonbury, they moved to 5-10 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Manchester and Glastonbury could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Connecticut Rankings. The Red Hawks will challenge South Windsor at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank disadvantage (81 vs. 10). Meanwhile, Glastonbury (ranked 87th) will meet Hall (ranked 31st) at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
