Baseball Recap: Terra Nova Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Terra Nova dropped their record down to 11-3-1 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's eight-game streak of wins on the road. They fell just short of the Menlo School Knights by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Tigers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Terra Nova saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JT Snead, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Another was Luke Ornelas, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs.

As for Menlo School, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games.

On Menlo School's side, Ben Salama spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Knights beat Terra Nova by a score of 6-0 on Thursday.
