Cherry Creek strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their defense stepped up to hand the Arapahoe Warriors a 56-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bruins also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Cherry Creek had a senior duo take command as Brady Vodicka threw for 162 yards and four TDs while completing 75% of his passes and Jayden Fox rushed for 81 yards and one touchdown. Vodicka has been hot, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last five times he's played.

Cherry Creek didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Reeve Thomas and Brandon Veasley Jr.. Cherry Creek received some extra help from Tate Matthews, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Cherry Creek's record now sits at 7-0. As for Arapahoe, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Looking ahead, Cherry Creek will host Eaglecrest at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Raptors' defense has only allowed 10.7 points per game this season, so the Bruins' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Arapahoe, they are taking a road trip to take on Smoky Hill at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. The Warriors are facing the Buffaloes at the right time seeing as the Buffaloes are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
