Volleyball Game Preview: Crestview Knights vs. Wapakoneta Redskins

The Crestview Knights will face off against the Wapakoneta Redskins at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Wapakoneta took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Crestview, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, Crestview beat Lima Central Catholic 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Thunderbirds: they've now won nine in a row.

Crestview had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-8, 25-12, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Wapakoneta lost 3-0 to Elida on Thursday.

While Wapakoneta ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-22, 25-22.

Wapakoneta has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Crestview, their victory bumped their record up to 13-6.

Everything went Crestview's way against Wapakoneta in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Crestview made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Redskins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
