Football Recap: Colton Comes Up Short

After flying high against Arrowhead Christian last Thursday, Colton came back down to earth. The Yellowjackets fell 49-42 to the Palm Springs Indians on Thursday.

When it comes to explaining why Colton lost, don't look at Koa Regalado. Despite the final result, he threw for 330 yards and five touchdowns, and also rushed for 46 yards. Isaiah Garcia also helped with two TDs in total.

Palm Springs was led to victory by Jordan Johnson and Bishop Miller. Johnson gained 169 total yards and three touchdowns, while Miller threw for 255 yards and four touchdowns. That's the most passing yards Miller has posted since back in October of 2024.

Colton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Palm Springs, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Coming up, Colton will take on Arlington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Yellowjackets will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.75 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Palm Springs, they will square off against Yucaipa at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
