Having struggled with ten defeats in a row, Miller Grove turned things around against Avery on Friday. They blew past the Bulldogs 30-15. The Hornets' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Cameron Sears was a standout: he scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Even if the Lions couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Miller Grove picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-10. As for Leverett's Chapel, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-1.
