Softball Recap: Mount Tabor Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Mount Tabor, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They never let the Grimsley Whirlies get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Wednesday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Spartans' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Jenna Catania was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Mary Schutt was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

With the victory, Mount Tabor broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4. As for Grimsley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Mount Tabor will be playing in front of their home fans against Reagan at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Grimsley's pitchers better be ready for this one: Southeast Guilford has averaged an impressive 13.2 runs per game this season.
