Syracuse has gone a perfect 3-0 against Layton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Titans are taking a road trip to challenge the Lancers at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Syracuse is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Davis, who was ranked 11th at the time (Syracuse was ranked ninth). The Titans came up short against the Darts on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Titans' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-16, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Layton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Weber.

The 3-2 doesn't really show just how close this match was: all the sets Layton lost were decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 29-27, 26-24, 19-25, 19-25, 15-12.

Layton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Syracuse, their loss dropped their record down to 19-5.

Everything went Syracuse's way against Layton when the teams last played on April 10th, as Syracuse made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
