Mildred came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the North Hopkins Panthers, falling 3-0. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Mildred took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-19, 25-21.

Mildred's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for North Hopkins, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-4.

Coming up, Mildred is taking a road trip to take on Teague at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Hopkins, they will welcome Chapel Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
