Cambridge won the last time they faced Johns Creek and things went their way on Friday too. The Bears breezed past the Gladiators to the tune of 56-0. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Gladiators are ranked 284th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brooks Malone had a dynamite game, rushing for 85 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Craig Dandridge did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 84 receiving yards.

Cambridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brady McHale and Callum Phillips. McHale got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Cambridge has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Cambridge will head out on the road to face off against Creekview at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Johns Creek, they will welcome Centennial at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
