Soccer Recap: Burke Comes Up Short

Burke fought the good fight in their overtime match against Bryan on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bears by a score of 1-0. Burke just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Burke's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Bryan, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Burke didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-1 loss against Millard South on the 19th. As for Bryan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Buena Vista on the 19th.
