Softball Game Preview: Mineral Wells Rams vs. Stephenville Yellow Jackets/Honeybees

The Mineral Wells Rams will venture away from home to square off against the Stephenville Yellow Jackets/Honeybees at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Mineral Wells blew Glen Rose out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Glen Rose got their revenge. The Rams fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 7-5.

Meanwhile, Stephenville came up short against Brownwood on Friday, falling 10-4. The Yellow Jackets/Honeybees have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Reese Haggard made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Macy Parker, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.

Stephenville's loss dropped their record down to 14-12-1. As for Mineral Wells, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-10 record this season.

Mineral Wells might still be hurting after the 10-3 defeat they got from Stephenville in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
