Soccer Game Preview: Brooks vs. East Lawrence

The Brooks Lions will square off against the East Lawrence Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. East Lawrence took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Brooks, who comes in off a win.

Brooks took a loss when they played away from home back in March, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Wilson a 3-0 shutout. Brooks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, East Lawrence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against Mars Hill Bible, falling 10-0.

Brooks' win bumped their record up to 3-4-1. As for East Lawrence, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.

Brooks took their victory against East Lawrence when the teams last played back in February by a conclusive 11-1 score. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
