Softball Recap: West Carroll Comes Up Short

West Carroll managed to slip by Clarksburg the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The War Eagles lost 9-1 to the Rockets on Tuesday. The War Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rockets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Hayden Weaver made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Ava Pinson also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

West Carroll has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Clarksburg, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Coming up, West Carroll will square off against Bradford at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The War Eagles are facing the Red Devils at the right time seeing as the Red Devils are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Clarksburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Riverside at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
