Basketball Recap: Lincoln Academy Comes Up Short

Lincoln Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 58-51 to the Medomak Valley Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 67th, while the Panthers are ranked ninth).

Lincoln Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Medomak Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Lincoln Academy will square off against Waterville at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Medomak Valley, they will face off against Oceanside at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
