Softball Game Preview: Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs vs. Granville Central Panthers

Durham School of the Arts is on a 12-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Granville Central a nine-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Durham School of the Arts lost 26-7 to Southern School of Energy and Sustainability last Friday.

Arianna Dillon was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-1. That stolen base was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Aniah Satterfield, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Granville Central's offense. They came up short against South Granville last Friday, falling 16-0.

Granville Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Durham School of the Arts, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Durham School of the Arts suffered a grim 21-6 defeat to Granville Central in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
