Basketball Recap: Thanasi Papazis' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Sun Valley over Grace Christian Academy

Sun Valley's tournament run continued when they took on Grace Christian Academy on Saturday. The Sun Valley Spartans took a 58-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grace Christian Academy Rams. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Thanasi Papazis, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 12 points in addition to six steals and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylin Powell, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 13 points.

Sun Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Grace Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Sun Valley has already played their next game, a 56-50 win against LEAD Academy on the 30th. As for Grace Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 78-64 loss against T.W. Andrews on the 30th.
