League recap: Tylertown scores huge upset over Seminary

3A Region 8 recap November 5, 2013

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Tylertown, who defeated 77th ranked Seminary, 33-0.

Adding to the longest winning streak in 3A Region 8 this week, the Chiefs beat the Bulldogs 33-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.

Jamaal Booth was the best wideout in the league this week as Seminary fell to Jason Johnson's team. Booth racked up 2 receptions for 52 yards. Eric Barnes helped Seminary's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 15 yards.

6-foot-0 quarterback Josh Miller of West Marion is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,592. He has also thrown 19 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Stevie Scott. The Perry Central star has 31 catches for 689 yards.

Sumrall took down St. Patrick 48-8 last week, the largest margin of any game. kobe sakata ran for 106 yards during the win.
