Volleyball Recap: Ava Gillette and Hailey Wiesman Secure Win for Stratford

Stratford won the last time they faced Assumption and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Royals. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Stratford's got stronger as the match went on, holding Assumption to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-12, 25-10.

Stratford was led to victory by Hailey Wiesman and Ava Gillette. Wiesman had five aces, while Gillette had six digs.

They weren't the only good server: Stratford was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive contests.

Stratford's record is now 15-5. As for Assumption, they dropped their record down to 1-17 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home.

After both having extra time off, Stratford and Auburndale will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Assumption, they will head out on the road to take on Nekoosa at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
