Volleyball Recap: Christian Takes a Loss

Christian suffered their biggest defeat since October 24, 2024 on Saturday. They lost 3-0 to the Valley Christian Defenders. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Christian was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-15, 25-23.

Maxim? Pheasant paced Christian's offense, picking up nine kills. Pheasant really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 21. Sophia Willett and Raynee Schendel kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Valley Christian, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian will take on Eastlake at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Valley Christian, they will challenge La Serna at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
