Softball Game Preview: Wheaton-Warrenville South Tigers vs. Plainfield North Tigers

Wheaton-Warrenville South will take on Plainfield North at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Plainfield North took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Wheaton-Warrenville South, who comes in off a win.

Wheaton-Warrenville South gave up the first runs on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They had just enough and edged out St. Charles East 6-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

The team relied heavily on Allie Michalowski, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Caroline Schulz, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Plainfield North lost 8-2 to Yorkville on Wednesday.

Plainfield North's loss dropped their record down to 11-17. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, their victory bumped their record up to 19-9.

Everything went Wheaton-Warrenville South's way against Plainfield North when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Wheaton-Warrenville South made off with a 13-4 win.
