Recap: Alexander Bulldogs vs. Winn Mavericks
The Alexander Bulldogs came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against Winn as Alexander made off with a 82-59 win. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Jovan Jimenez and David Rodriguez certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Jimenez scored 19 points along with 8 assists and 7 rebounds, while Rodriguez scored 17 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals. The contest was Jimenez's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Humberto Mu?oz, who scored 4 points along with 6 rebounds.
Alexander's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Winn, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-4.
Alexander is on the road again on Friday and play against Cole at 2:00 p.m. on December 1st. Cole is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Winn, they will square off against Boerne-Champion at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. Boerne-Champion presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Winn in Texas (Boerne-Champion is ranked 93rd, while Winn is ranked 531st).
