New Trier had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but Highland put an end to it on Wednesday. New Trier took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Highland. The match marked the Trevians' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Trey Meyers was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Thurston put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Maine West 14-4. That ten run margin sets a new team best for the Colts this season.

Thurston's win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for New Trier, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1-1.
