Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Franklin walked away with it. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Racine Case Eagles a 14-0 shutout on Thursday. Considering the Sabers have won nine matches by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The win was the sixth in a row for Franklin, bringing their record up to 17-7. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Racine Case, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.

Looking ahead, Franklin will square off against Oak Creek on Tuesday. The Knights' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Sabers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Racine Case does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
