Recap: Rocky Mountain Grizzlies vs. Eagle Mustangs
The Rocky Mountain Grizzlies pushed their score all the way to 61 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 77-61 to Eagle. Rocky Mountain has struggled against Eagle recently, as their contest on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Russell Gibson was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with 7 assists for Eagle. That makes it two consecutive games in which Gibson has scored at least 25% of Eagle's points. Cal Huish was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Rocky Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Eagle, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Owyhee the next time they take the court. Eagle will host Owyhee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Rocky Mountain will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
