Soccer Game Preview: Champaign Central vs. Mahomet-Seymour + Official Tickets

The Champaign Central Maroons will face off against the Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Champaign Central is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Peoria Notre Dame just ended the team's four-match winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 8-1 to the Irish. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Champaign Central were already down 7-0.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous five contest, Mahomet-Seymour brought some dynamite into their most recent match. They never let Taylorville get on the board and left with an 8-0 win on Thursday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Mahomet-Seymour as it put an end to their five-match losing streak.

Champaign Central's loss dropped their record down to 10-10-2. As for Mahomet-Seymour, their win bumped their record up to 7-11-3.

Champaign Central beat Mahomet-Seymour by a goal in their previous meeting on October 4th, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Maroons since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
