It was fun while it lasted, but Bishop Amat's undefeated season came to an end after five games on Friday. They took a 68-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Canyon Cowboys. The loss was the Lancers' first of the season.
Several Lancers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rayshaun White, who posted 16 points in addition to five rebounds and two steals. Having lost for the first time this season, Bishop Amat fell to 5-1. As for Canyon, the victory for them keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Bishop Amat wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 76-58 defeat against Camarillo on the 30th. Canyon has also already played their next matchup, a 93-56 loss against Rolling Hills Prep on the 30th.
