Softball Recap: Newberry Comes Up Short

Newberry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 8-2 to the St. Ignace Saints.

Newberry's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for St. Ignace, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Newberry beat the Saints by a score of 15-13 later that day.
