Volleyball Recap: Hart Comes Up Short

The Hart Pirates didn't have quite enough to beat the Zeeland West Dux on Thursday and fell 2-1.

Reese Smith paced Hart's offense, picking up ten kills. Smith got some help from Grace Tucker and her ten assists. Tucker also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Alayna Schiller, each putting up two.

Hart's loss dropped their record down to 12-15-1. As for Zeeland West, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-11.

Hart didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Shelby on the 9th. As for Zeeland West, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Cedar Springs on the 9th.
