Volleyball Recap: Suncoast Chargers vs. Royal Palm Beach Wildcats

Suncoast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Royal Palm Beach Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chargers of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Suncoast took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-14, 21-25, 18-25, 25-14, 15-5.

Melissa Modan paced Suncoast's offense, picking up 17 kills. Modan got some help from Hope Parker and her 25 assists.

Royal Palm Beach can attribute much of their success to Player #22, who had 12 assists and five digs.

Suncoast's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Royal Palm Beach, they pushed their record up to 14-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Suncoast has already played their next match (against FAU High), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Royal Palm Beach, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Seminole Ridge on the 8th.
