Softball Game Preview: Lebanon Warriors vs. Marysville Monarchs

The Lebanon Warriors will challenge the Marysville Monarchs at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lebanon is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games.

Lebanon is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They beat Lakota East by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 2-1.

Meanwhile, Marysville waltzed into their match on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Comets.

Marysville secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Ella Wood, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Another was Sienna Hutchins, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Marysville's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-6-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Lebanon, their victory bumped their record up to 19-3.
