Football Recap: College Prep & Leadership Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

The College Prep & Leadership Academy Royals were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 20-14 to the Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy Phoenix. While the Royals had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Phoenix 6-0.

Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy found their leader in freshman Jamari Wilson, who rushed for 215 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 9.0 yards per carry. Wilson also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing one fumble, making six total tackles, and defending two passes in addition to snagging an interception.

College Prep & Leadership Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.
