Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Burkburnett walked away with it. They blew past the Benbrook Bobcats 13-2 on Wednesday. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by six runs or more this season.

Tatum Winney was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Delaney Reitz, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Burkburnett kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 11 consecutive games.

Burkburnett is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-16 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Benbrook, they moved to 18-9 with that defeat, which also ended their 12-game winning streak.

Burkburnett will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bobcats: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
