Softball Recap: Northwestern Regional's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

It was a good run, but Northwestern Regional unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 8-3 to the Somers Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Highlanders of the 9-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Northwestern Regional's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Somers, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Coming up, Northwestern Regional will be playing at home against Wolcott RVT at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Somers, they will face off against Ellington at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight.
