Meridian had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the eight-goal drubbing they dealt Osbourn on Wednesday. The Mustangs never let the Eagles get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Considering Meridian have won five games by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Meridian's fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-6-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 34 goals over those five contests. As for Osbourn, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9-1 record this season.
