Basketball Recap: Johnston Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Waukee

On Tuesday, Johnston faced Waukee in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Johnston Dragons fell just short of the Waukee Warriors by a score of 58-56. The Dragons have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Johnston's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Waukee, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Johnston will take on Southeast Polk at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Waukee, they will head out to take on Ankeny at 7:45 p.m. on January 14th.
