Basketball Game Preview: Stansbury Stallions vs. Jordan Beetdiggers

The Stansbury Stallions will face off against the Jordan Beetdiggers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Stansbury took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 77-64 win over Park City.

Meanwhile, Jordan came up short against Hillcrest on Friday and fell 72-60. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (57), the Beetdiggers still had to take the loss.

The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Mason Tolley and Myles Mahler. Mahler had a great game and posted 17 points and five rebounds. Meanwhile, Tolley did his best for the losing side, going 8 of 18 on his way to 18 points and five boards.

Stansbury's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-15. As for Jordan, they dropped their record down to 8-14 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Stansbury didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Jordan when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 53-49 win. Will Stansbury repeat their success, or does Jordan have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
