Basketball Game Preview: Dundalk Owls vs. Woodlawn Warriors

After both having extra time off, the Dundalk Owls and the Woodlawn Warriors will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Dundalk is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Pikesville two weeks ago (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Dundalk was beaten by Pikesville 55-17. The defeat continues a trend for the Owls in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Dundalk might have lost, but man, Caitlyn Howard was a machine: she almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 boards. Another player making a difference was Jamie Maney, who posted four points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Woodlawn was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Perry Hall an easy 54-28 victory.

Dundalk's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Woodlawn, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
