Basketball Game Preview: Torres Toros vs. Sanger Apaches

The Torres Toros will square off against the Sanger Apaches at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Torres is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Mission Oak just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell to the Hawks 38-33. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Toros came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 250th, while the Hawks are ranked 514th).

Sanger got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They came out on top against Edison by a score of 38-29 on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Apaches as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Sanger now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Torres, their loss dropped their record down to 18-7.

Torres strolled past Sanger in their previous matchup last Thursday by a score of 46-27. The rematch might be a little tougher for Torres since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
