Softball Recap: Mitchell Bluejackets vs. Linton-Stockton Miners
Sadly, Mitchell is still looking for their first win of the season after four matchups. They fell just short of the Linton-Stockton Miners by a score of 4-3 on Monday. Mitchell was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Linton-Stockton apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.
Mitchell saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Page Mullis, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
Mitchell's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
Mitchell will look to defend their home field on Friday against Paoli at 5:00 p.m. Mitchell will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak dating back to last season alive. As for Linton-Stockton, they will head out on the road to challenge Vincennes Lincoln on Saturday.
