The Alexandria Trojans will challenge the Grace Christian Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Alexandria is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.
Alexandria was handed a six-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Dutchtown, sneaking past 3-1. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Griffins recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Ella Melder spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up ten Ks. Those ten strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mary Claire Brinkman, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Grace Christian has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.6 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They lost 13-2 to Pineville. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Warriors couldn't push the score so high this time.
Grace Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylee Guillot, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.
The defeat snapped Grace Christian's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-2 record. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Alexandria, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. Alexandria hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.1 home runs per game. However, it's not like Grace Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
