Softball Recap: Dunmore Finds Home Field Redemption Against Western Wayne

There's no place like home for Dunmore, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Western Wayne Wildcats on Wednesday. For the Bucks, this counts as revenge for the 7-4 victory the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Paige Ancherani made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, earning two runs and two stolen bases. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Jaclyn Brown was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.

Dunmore has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Western Wayne, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

Looking ahead, Dunmore will venture away from home to face off against Holy Cross at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Western Wayne, they will host Blue Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
