Baseball Recap: Dougherty Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Dougherty can now relate to. They came up short against the Pickens Dragons on Friday, falling 12-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 on Friday.

Dougherty saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kameron Knighton, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Dougherty and nudges their season record down to 14-8. As for Pickens, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-5 record this season.

While Dougherty had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
