After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wellington, Centennial was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Vero Beach Indians. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Hailey Brereton made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Carmela Baker was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

Centennial hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Vero Beach struck out 13 times.

Centennial's record now sits at 4-1. As for Vero Beach, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Centennial didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-0 victory against South Fork on the 6th. As for Vero Beach, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-3 win against Jensen Beach on the 7th.
