Basketball Recap: Palmer Comes Up Short

Palmer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 44-22 to the Elba Bluejays. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bluejays earlier this season, when they won 28-27.

Elba's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but JarahLynn Morrow led the charge by going 6-for-12 on her way to 17 points and six boards. What's more, Morrow also posted a 50% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Valeria Lastra, who posted six points and four steals.

Palmer's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Elba, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-17.

Palmer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Elba, they have already played their next contest, a 62-36 defeat against Anselmo-Merna on the 18th.
