Jordan has gone 8-2 against Riverside-Durham recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Falcons will host the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Riverside-Durham will be up against a hot Jordan team: the squad just extended their winning streak to eight. Everything went the Falcons' way against East Chapel Hill on Tuesday as they made off with a 15-6 win.

The team relied heavily on Kylie Specht, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sidney Sharp, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Jordan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .533. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Riverside-Durham). They were the clear victors by a 28-9 margin over Durham Academy on Wednesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Pirates, who have now won five contests in a row.
Paisley Russell was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, three stolen bases, and five runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Juleah Somers, who got on base in all six of her plate appearances with six runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI.
Jordan pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.6 runs over those games. As for Riverside-Durham, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.
Friday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Jordan hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .396. However, it's not like Riverside-Durham struggles in that department as they've averaged .360. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
