Baseball Recap: Braden River Victorious

While Braden River put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Lakewood Ranch. The Pirates walked away with a 4-0 win over the Mustangs. The victory continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won six in a row.

Braxton Rector looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Braden River saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Cao, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Cao has posted since back in March of 2025. Braxton Marien was another, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Braden River picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 3-5. As for Lakewood Ranch, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Braden River has already played their next matchup, a 4-1 victory against IMG Academy Gray on the 3rd. As for Lakewood Ranch, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-5 loss against Island Coast on the 2nd.
